Auvard Weighted Speculum

The Auvard weighted speculum operates by its own weight ( 2.5 pounds ). The single bill is inserted vaginally on a reclined woman ( an exam table really helps here ). The bill pulls downward, opening her quite wide. The speculum is grooved its entire length for to allow for fluid run out. The end is even flared for hose hook up if collection of the fluid is desired. Obviously this is not the easiest speculum to take. We would not recommend it to the beginning speculum enthusiast. 1.5 inch by 3.5 inch bill 9 inches overall length
